Grounding Tree Meditation
This is a short visualization you can do to bring you back to your centre, grounding and anchoring you to your present moment.
As you begin to do it more and more, you will be able to visualise it instantly whenever the need arises.
When I am out and about sometimes feeling overwhelmed, usually by volumes of people, I stop moving and suddenly I'm a tree. Tall and strong, deep roots and high branches, feeling centred and I just breathe. Immediately I feel better and calm. I smile to myself and carry on about my business.
It helps you to feel connected to all that is. It's a wonderful exercise to do sitting at the base of a tree whenever you can.
Sit down where you are with your spine straight and be comfortable. This meditation can be done at any time of day.
